You’ll find Carlton George on West George Street right in the centre of Glasgow, directly across from Glasgow Queen Street Station and less than a 2-minute walk from Buchanan Street. George Square, Princes Square, the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and the Style Mile are all just a short walk away, along with some of the city’s best shopping, restaurants, bars and live music venues. Glasgow Central Station is approximately a 10-minute walk away through Glasgow city centre, making the hotel easy to reach.

How far is the hotel from Glasgow Airport?
Glasgow Airport is around 15–20 minutes away by car depending on traffic.
The Glasgow Airport Express (Bus 500) runs every 15 minutes between the airport and Buchanan Bus Station, which is around a 5-minute walk from Carlton George.
If you’re arriving by train, Glasgow Queen Street Station sits directly across from the hotel, making travel from Edinburgh and across Scotland really straightforward too.

Because we’re right across from Queen Street Station in the centre of the city, many guests choose to arrive by train instead.

Yes, breakfast is served daily on the rooftop level overlooking Glasgow’s skyline. We are open 7 am-10 am Monday to Friday and 7:30 am to 10:30 am Saturday and Sunday. You’ll find hot breakfast dishes, continental options, fresh coffee and views stretching across the city centre rooftops while Glasgow starts to wake up below.

Buchanan Street Subway Station is only a few minutes away too, making it easy to reach the West End, SEC Campus, OVO Hydro and other parts of the city without needing a car.
